Minor Boys Football Shield Champions
Blackhall Gaels/Kilbride 4-10
St Peter’s Dunboyne 2-02
🏆 A fantastic day for our Minor Boys as Blackhall Gaels/Kilbride claimed the Shield title with a convincing win over St Peter’s Dunboyne in a great local final.
With many of the lads on both teams sharing school connections, there was plenty of extra incentive to come out on top, and the bragging rights were certainly up for grabs!
From the throw-in to the final whistle, the lads showed tremendous determination, worked tirelessly for one another and kept pushing forward. In front of a lively crowd, the game was watched by Meath football legend Sean Boylan, a proud St Peter’s man, adding to the occasion.
For seven of our Blackhall Gaels players, this is a second piece of silverware in the space of a week, following the Junior Football Championship win last Friday. A brilliant achievement and a testament to the commitment these lads continue to show.
There is little time to rest, with many now turning their attention to the U20 campaign, which gets underway on Sunday. It's a busy time for our footballers, and we wish them continued success as the season rolls on.
Congratulations to all the players, coaches and management on a fantastic win. You have done both clubs proud!
