Our U10 boys had a fantastic day out in Dublin on Sunday as they took part in the St. Judeโs Mini All-Ireland.
The boys had a brilliant day of football, playing teams from across the country and getting the opportunity to experience a big tournament environment. They topped their group after games against Ballycumber from Offaly, Portlaoise from Laois, Palatine from Carlow and Maynooth from Kildare, before progressing through the knockout stages and reaching the final.
While the final result wasnโt to be, the day was about so much more than winning and losing. These are the experiences that young players remember. Playing new teams, testing themselves, enjoying the occasion, supporting their teammates and, most importantly, having fun together.
This group have been afforded some fantastic opportunities throughout the year, taking part in a number of big competitions and representing Blackhall Gaels with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. They continue to conduct themselves in a way that makes us incredibly proud of them as a group.
Behind every opportunity is a huge amount of work from their coaches, Mark Ferris, Gary Burns, Robbie Butler, Niall Jones, Bryan Griffin and Ciaran Ledwith. Their commitment and encouragement are helping these boys develop not only as footballers, but as teammates and friends.
Days like Sunday are about making memories, building friendships and enjoying the journey together. We hope there will be many more days like this for this fantastic group of boys as they continue to grow and develop.
