๐๐ Adult LGFA - Championship Victory
A brilliant performance from our Adult LGFA team tonight as they came away with a well deserved victory over Wolfe Tones in the Junior Championship. ๐
The girls were outstanding from the first whistle, showing great pace, movement and combination play right across the pitch. Their kickouts were particularly impressive, with some excellent passing and link up play creating plenty of scoring opportunities.
The performance was a real reflection of the hard work and commitment this group has put in over the past few months. It has also been fantastic to see some of our younger players step into the team, integrate with the more experienced players and make such a positive contribution. ๐๐
There were big performances all over the field, with the backline making it extremely difficult for Wolfe Tones to find a way through. Caroline Griffin made some superb saves, while young Amelia Ruddy showed fantastic composure in the full back line. ๐
There were scores from all over the pitch, with Isabel, Ava Lambert, Niamh McDermott, Hannah Prendergast, Kate Gormley and Aileen Coyle all making their mark. A special mention too for our youngest forward Lily Hannah Walsh, who finished off a brilliant team move with a great goal! ๐๐

A fantastic result against an experienced Wolfe Tones side and a team that ended our Championship journey last year.
The girls now look forward to a Championship quarter final in two weeks, with the opposition still to be confirmed.
