Unfortunately, it wasnโt to be for our Dunboyne/Blackhall U18 hurlers this week as they bowed out at the semi-final stage against a strong Navan OโMahonyโs side.
The lads fought hard from start to finish and, despite some excellent purple patches in both halves, couldnโt quite get the better of a very cohesive opposition. Management could not be prouder of the performance, commitment and effort shown by the group throughout the year.
For some of these lads, this brings the curtain down on their underage careers. We hope to see many of them continue their journey into adult hurling and football, carrying with them the friendships and memories built along the way.
This team has been a fantastic example of what can be achieved through the partnership between Blackhall Gaels and St. Peterโs Dunboyne. What started as a collaboration between two neighbouring parishes has grown into a group of players, families, coaches and friends coming together, sharing experiences and building connections that will last well beyond their underage years.
Our sincerest thanks go to everyone from both clubs who has played a part in making this partnership such a success. It has been a wonderful connection between Blackhall Gaels and St. Peterโs Dunboyne, and we hope the friendships and bonds formed through this group will continue for many years to come.
