Another busy week for our juvenile teams with football and hurling action across the county, plenty of great performances and fantastic commitment from our young players.
Wednesday 12th August
Our U14 girls footballers were in action in Batterstown on a warm evening and produced a strong team performance against Summerhill. The girls made a quick start and did brilliantly to maintain their intensity throughout despite the challenging conditions. Well done girls on another excellent display.
Thursday 13th August
Our U14 boys footballers travelled to Grangegodden for their Championship fixture against Gaeil Colmcille. While the result did not go their way, the lads played some lovely football and kicked some fine scores throughout an open game. With one more round to come, the team will now look ahead to their Shield semi-final.
Saturday 15th August
There was a fantastic turnout in Enfield for our boys hurling blitz against Na Fianna and Ashbourne. Great hurling was on display throughout the morning and it was brilliant to see so many boys enjoying their games.
A huge thank you to coaches Fiona and Kevin, with Mick, Mark, Brian and David also stepping in to help. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Sunday 16th August
Our U10 girls had a fantastic day at the Ratoath Festival of Football, competing alongside teams from three counties. The girls gave an excellent account of themselves and showed that they can compete with the very best. Special mentions for Grace O'Connor, Shona Farrelly, Ava Dempsey, Ava Roche, Abbey Dalton and Sadie Snee, with a brilliant effort from the entire squad.
Well done to all our players, coaches, mentors and families for another fantastic week. It is great to see our young players continuing to develop, enjoy their football and hurling, and represent Blackhall Gaels with such pride.
