A place in the league final is secured after a tremendous team performance from our U18 Footballers on a memorable night.
The lads knew they were in for a battle from the outset. Missing several players, losing another to injury before throw-in and playing into a strong wind in the opening half, they faced a six-point deficit at the break.
Showing great character and determination, they kept their composure and fought their way back, drawing level early in the second half. From there, it was score for score as both sides produced a highly competitive contest.
In the closing stages, Blackhall Gaels/Kilbride found another gear. Outstanding work rate, impact from every substitute and a real team effort saw the lads pull away to secure a deserved nine-point victory and book their place in the final.
A special congratulations to Sean Nolan, whose outstanding display earned him a well-deserved Player of the Match award.
Well done to every player and the management team on a fantastic result. The commitment, resilience and togetherness shown throughout the evening were a credit to everyone involved.
